About the Seminar and the Instructor

Richard H. Miltner is a certified Kubotan Self-Defense Instructor and member of the International karate Association. He is among a select group of instructors worldwide honored to be trained and certified by Grand Master Takayuki Kubota. Richard is also a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate, a former Austrian National Karate Champion, and has competed as a light heavyweight boxer. During the seminar, Richard will impart some of his invaluable knowledge gained from his background as an ex-military close-combat instructor with decades of experience in martial arts, executive protection, and personal fitness training.

Richard's seminars are designed specifically for women and couples seeking a self-defense method that can be learned quickly, implemented easily and doesn't require extensive training or athleticism like bare-hands self-defense techniques, or other martial arts. The seminar will start with prevention and preparation, and then continue to hands-on training for counter-attacks, and Kubotan key chain techniques.

Kubotan Keychain

The Kubotan is a 5-inch long keychain pocket stick originally developed by Martial Arts Grand Master Takayuki Kubota for undercover police officers. For over 30 years, the Kubotan has been used by the CIA, FBI, professional security, and military organizations, and is now used by tens of thousands of civilians worldwide for self-defense. When used properly, the Kubotan key chain is a very simple, yet extremely effective self-defense aid.
